American Sniper has recently been criticized by people who feel the movie glorifies military violence, and Sarah Palin is lashing out at these critics.
“God bless our troops, especially our snipers,” Palin wrote on Facebook on Jan. 19. “Hollywood leftists: while caressing shiny plastic trophies you exchange among one another while spitting on the graves of freedom fighters who allow you to do what you do, just realize the rest of America knows you’re not fit to shine Chris Kyle‘s combat boots.”
The former vice presidential candidate then expressed her gratitude toward Kyle’s family, as well as actor Bradley Cooper and director Clint Eastwood.
Michael Moore recently made headlines when he tweeted about snipers, saying he was taught they were cowards. “Snipers aren’t heroes,” he tweeted. Seth Rogen spoke specifically about American Sniper, tweeting that it reminded him of the Nazi propaganda film in Inglourious Basterds.
