Seinfeld is in talks to secure an SVOD deal for its 180 episodes.
The 1990s sitcom’s rights will be sold by Sony Pictures Television to one of the following online video service bidders: Hulu, Amazon or Yahoo.
According to The Wall Street Journal, which first reported the news on Friday, Netflix passed on the show, but Sony hopes for a higher price than the $500,000 per episode Netflix paid to Warner Bros. for Friends in 2014.
