In Wednesday’s monologue, Seth Meyers brought up Donald Trump transition team member Kris Kobach’s reported plan to make a Muslim registry.
“One of Donald Trump’s potential attorney generals is reportedly already working on a plan to make Muslims register with the government,” said Meyers, as a picture of Kobach appeared on the screen. “Does anyone see a problem with that, or do you Nazi?”
Meyers also made fun of Trump’s tweet that only he knows “the finalists” for his cabinet positions. “Text your vote in now,” joked Meyers, flashing a fake number on the screen. “Who knows — the next secretary of state could be you.”
Mike Pence’s anti-LGBT positions were also subtly mocked in the Late Night host’s monologue. “Vice President Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Mike Pence had lunch together this afternoon and just to piss him off, Biden told the waiter it was their anniversary,” said Meyers.
Toward the end of the segment, Meyers brought up Carrie Fisher’s revelation that she had an affair with Harrison Ford while filming the original Star Wars. “Then he went back to using his hand solo,” said Meyers.
