Charity events in Hollywood aren’t all sit down rubber chicken black tie affairs. More and more over the last decade, we’ve seen fashion and beauty play a big role with charities, which means they’re now entertainment.
No L.A. based charity personifies this more than P.S. Arts, which raises money for arts programs in the public schools. They host an annual event called The Bag Lunch, where celebs and Hollywood denizens bid on designer handbags and on Monday, December 5, they’ll throw their annual Beauty Bazaar in Beverly Hills.

Given that the hosts are Sharon Stone, Emma Roberts, Molly Sims and Marcia Cross, a lot of major ladies will be drawn to its hub in the Lancer Dermatology Clinic to get mani pedis, brow shaping, blowouts and a swag bag filled with amazing products. What would make such public women do private treatments without privacy? In the end, this is a bargain. It will be a scene out of 1939’s The Women, for sure: “I’ve grown claws, mother – Jungle Red!”

A high ticket price is how P.S. Arts raises funds. These women, however, drop $150 bucks on beauty in Barneys every Saturday, so for them, this is a big bargain. And these days in Hollywood, beauty treatments are entertainment.
