There are two things we’re sure about when it comes to model Hilary Rhoda and her fiance, Sean Avery: Both have long and celebrated backgrounds in fashion and both look really good in a swimsuit (see below) — which is exactly why the couple’s new swimwear capsule collection for Solid & Striped makes all the sense in the world.
Solid & Striped x Hilary + Sean, which is available today on the brand’s site, is a Hamptons-inspired collection of his and hers suits and cover-ups priced between $138 and $198. The women’s pieces include black and white bikinis, slim color-blocked one-pieces and floor-length cover-ups, while the men’s collection includes tailored trunks, hooded ponchos and a breezy chambray in the same simple, monochromatic palette.

Before retiring from the NHL in 2012, Avery was known as the league’s best-dressed bad boy, spending the off-season interning at Vogue and modeling for Hickey Freeman and 7 For All Mankind. He and Rhoda, who has (appropriately) been featured in several Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues, became engaged in 2013.
Rhoda told Forbes of the capsule, “We were definitely inspired by our summers in the Hamptons. Our style is pretty clean and polished so that definitely translated into the look and feel of the collection.”
