Showtime has set a premiere date for Inside Comedy, a comedy documentary series from Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s David Steinberg and Steve Carell.
Debuting Thursday, Jan. 26 at 11 p.m., the 10-episode series will feature Steinberg — who will direct every half-hour show — interviewing comedians, such as Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Mel Brooks, Don Rickles, Jonathan Winters and Ellen DeGeneres. They will discuss their career-defining moments, personal struggles and the people who inspired them.
Carell and Steinberg serve as executive producers along with Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock for Carousel Productions. Alan Zweibel serves as creative consultant.
Other guests slated to appear include Billy Crystal, Tim Conway, Carl Reiner, Garry Shandling, Martin Short, Robin Williams, Steven Wright, Larry David, Brad Garrett, Kathy Griffin, Jane Lynch, Sarah Silverman and Carell.
