The Sam Mendes directed adventure, starring Javier Bardem, Judi Dench and Ralph Fiennes, has now hit a gross of £74.3 million ($118 million) having snared £1.2 million ($1.9 million) Tuesday evening here in the U.K., according to figures from Sony.

The 23rd installment of the franchise has now overtaken Toy Story 3, the previous second highest grosser of all time in the U.K. with it’s £73.8 million ($117 million) and Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2‘s £73.1 million ($116 million) box office wizardry.
It’s an impressive tally for the 007 adventure after less than four weeks on release.
It will now have Avatar, the highest grossing film ever in the U.K. with £94 million ($149 million) firmly in its sights.
The latest figures make the film the highest grossing 2D movie release of all time on British shores.
