You probably didn’t see that one coming.

During Saturday Night Live‘s 40th anniversary special Sunday night, a slew of stars appeared in a new “The Californians” sketch, including former castmembers Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and Laraine Newman; current castmember Vanessa Bayer and guest stars Bradley Cooper, Betty White, Kerry Washington and Taylor Swift.

During the sketch, Cooper and White surprised viewers by making out — much to the delight of the in-studio (and star-studded) audience.
