Courtesy of NikitaGlobe-spanning private members club Soho House is set to open its third Los Angeles branch at the former site of Larry Ellison’s Nikita restaurant in Malibu.
Soho House LLC is the new manager of the property according to the ABC license database. Eater LA first reported the news of the license finalization.
The move confirms THR‘s exclusive from May last year that the London-based company was looking to take over the two-story, 6,900-square-foot Carbon Beach property at 22716 Pacific Coast Highway. The site has been empty since Ellison’s ill-fated Nikita closed in Dec. 2014.
The prospective Soho House Malibu will follow the popular West Hollywood brand and the soon-to-be-built 80,000-square-foot club in the Arts District that will be called Soho Warehouse.
