Madrid – Madrid-based distributor Enrique Perez‘s Sherlock Films has inked a deal with Italy’s Intramovies to release 8-10 Italian films over the next year, with minimum runs of two weeks in four of Spain’s main cities.
Sherlock, which owns a handful of theaters around Spain, will have the backing of the Italian Institute for Culture in Madrid to help facilitate the presence of directors and actors for selected screenings.
The first four films in the slate have already been chosen and include Sergio Rubini’s Colpo D’Occhio – which opened Nov. 10, Massimo Natale’s L’estate di Martino, Marco Chiarini’s L’uomo Fiammifero and Gianfrancesco Lazotti’s Dalla Vita in Poi.
