Collins’ estranged wife Faye Grant, a former actress, revealed the actor’s finances in documents pertaining to spousal support filed Oct. 15, 2013. The couple’s divorce proceeding is in its 32nd month.
The couple were married for almost 27 years, and Grant says Collins made $1 million to $3 million yearly for most of that time, with gaps for time not working because of health issues. In 2013, Collins made $40,000 per episode on Revolution for at least 10 episodes (with the potential for a $880,000 payday for a full 22-episode season), $64,937 for six episodes of Lifetime’s Devious Maids, $7,682 for one episode of ABC’s Scandal and $5,500 for one episode of ABC Family’s The Fosters, Grant claims in the Oct. 15 filing. She calculates his monthly income at $44,228.
Grant says that she made more money than Collins when they were first married, but she became a full-time mother when their daughter was born in 1989. She receives $13,000 a month in spousal support, according to a declaration filed by Collins. Grant estimates her average monthly living expenses at $26,118.
Grant wants the family’s $5.5 million three-house compound in Brentwood divided, and the properties sold off — or for Collins to take over maintenance of the homes, which sit on two adjacent lots.
“We treated all three houses almost as if they were one,” Grant said in the Oct. 15 filing. “Stephen, our daughter, and I did not have designated bedrooms in any one house; we would frequently rotate and move around to different bedrooms in the different houses. The front house was primarily used for guests, but also was used as an art studio and dance studio. One of the houses was used extensively for entertaining and hosting, particularly for my various charitable endeavors.”

In addition, the couple holds $6 million to $7 million in a joint account. The filings describe what Grant calls an “upper class standard of living,” including yearly European vacations in five-star hotels and resorts and first-class flights, and annual spring breaks in Hawaii. Grant says Collins has a $100,000 guitar collection and a $16,000 Rolex.
Don’t forget the lawyers: By April 18, 2014, Collins had already racked up half a million dollars in legal fees. He had paid $454,812 but still owed $41,711, according to a filing. Grant’s legal fees for the same period amounted to $297,947.
During a therapy session, Grant surreptitiously recorded Collins allegedly confessing to abusing three underage girls. After the recording was leaked to TMZ on Tuesday, Collins was swiftly fired from the movie Ted 2 as well as Scandal, and syndicated episodes of 7th Heaven have been dropped from UPtv and TV Guide Network. Grant claims she didn’t leak the recording, while Collins’ lawyer alleges she blackmailed him with the recording for a larger divorce settlement.
