The Streamy Awards are getting an update in their fourth year.
The live-streamed award show, which will hand out awards to online video productions this fall, has added three new categories devoted to Vine, the short-form online video platform owned by Twitter: creativity, comedian and Viner of the year.
The award show also has added a category to recognize traditional television shows that have a notable presence online through video and social media.
In addition, the Streamys will honor YouTube stars in a variety of new categories, including pranks and sports.
“The Streamy Awards are about relevance, excellence and diversity, which is why our new categories reflect the current state of the industry and embrace the incredible enthusiasm and engagement of the online video community,” said executive producer Drew Baldwin.
The Streamys has opened voting to fans, who will help pick one nominee for each category. Public voting ends July 27. An appointed panel will determine the remaining nominees.
Last year’s Streamy Awards had over 7 million live and video-on-demand viewers.
