Streamy Nominations: The Complete List

Tubefilter and Dick Clark Productions announced nominees for the 5th Annual Streamy Awards on Wednesday morning and the diverse field reflected how the online video landscape has evolved over the last year. 

Although the awards have traditionally honored primarily YouTube videos, this year a scripted series that streamed on Snapchat earned the most nominations. SnapperHero, which was produced by Fullscreen and Judy McGrath‘s Astronauts Wanted, raked in six nominations, with Epic Rap Battles of History and Video Game High School tied for second with four nominations each. Tied for third were Bootleg Universe and Hulu’s The Hotwives of Orlando with three nominations each. 

Creators including GloZell Green, Freddie Wong and Lohanthony announced the nominees at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica. The event was presided over by emcee Chelsea Briggs and DJ Flula. 

Several new categories have been added to the Streamys this year, including subject awards for lifestyle channels and documentary of investigative series and a social video category to include Instagram, Snapchat and Vine. 

The 2015 Streamy Awards will be televised for the first time, airing Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on VH1 and live streamed on digital platforms.
