Studio71 has unveiled a new slate of content ahead of its virtual NewFront presentation, and the company has projects lined up from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Lilly Singh, Rhett & Link and others.
The company, a division of Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1, said it has increased production to more than 12,000 videos a month, resulting in a doubling of its monthly video views. Studio71 did not report how many views that equates to.
Among the projects it currently has in the works are the first pilot from Johnson’s Seven Bucks Digital Studios, a collaboration announced at last year’s NewFronts event, and shows for a new channel from Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal, known as Rhett & Link, creators of the morning show spoof channel Good Mythical Morning.
“The new slate expands our reach with primetime audiences and bolsters our leadership position as a network of premium content that strongly appeals to brand partners,” said president Dan Weinstein.

Seven Bucks Digital Studios, which Johnson started with Dany Garcia, plans to produce six new pilots this year. The first is a collaboration with Mike Tornabene and Gian Hunjan, the team behind the YouTube channel Bro Science Life. It will be a scripted comedy starring Dom Mazzetti about a gym fighting for survival. Four mid-form episodes will be released each week on Seven Bucks’ YouTube channel with an eye toward linear distribution opportunities. Johnson, Garcia and Erin Lardy are executive producing for Seven Bucks, and Weinstein, Scott Brown and Mo Darwiche are executive producing for Studio71. Chas Lacaillade of Bottle Rocket Management will also executive produce.
Rhett & Link, meanwhile, have launched a fourth YouTube channel, This Is Mythical, where they have a new show called Ten Feet Tall starring Mike Criscimagna and Alex Punch. A food-themed series called Mythicalicious will launch later this year.
