Superstar Beyonce shines in a sparkly, high-waisted sequined skirt and a blue-and-white striped crop top on Vogue UK’s May cover. In the magazine’s latest issue, Queen Bey opens up about being a mother to daughter Blue Ivy, her love for husband Jay-Z and her ability to remain true to a singing career that has lasted nearly two decades. The “Love on Top” singer, who kicks off her Mrs. Carter tour in Serbia on April 15, shares that she’s always bruised from preparing for her fierce performances. But as a girl who (practically) runs this world, she added, “But you’ve already started so you’ve just gotta fight through it.” [Vogue UK]
Celebrity stylist Kate Young‘s Brooklyn home is as gorgeous as the red-carpet looks she puts on clients Michelle Williams and Natalie Portman (Her good taste runs deep — the ex-Vogue staffer is number four on our annual list of Hollywood’s Top 25 Most Powerful Stylists, after all.). Young’s spacious abode features a quirky, covetable mix of Lucite and chrome-tinged ’70s furniture and striking geometric art set against dark, natural wood side tables and accent moldings. When the style maker isn’t busy dressing A-list stars or prepping for her upcoming April 14 Target collaboration (which, she says, happens to have stemmed from her number one THR stylist list ranking last year), Young usually can be found in the drool-worthy house reading a book from her enviable collection and hanging out with husband Keith and their kids, Stellan and Leif. It’s time to celebrate IWC Schaffhausen as this year’s official “Festival-Time” partner of New York’s Tribeca Film Festival. On April 10, the Tribeca Film Institute and IWC will auction a one-of-a-kind Portuguese Automatic Tribeca Film Festival 2013 Edition at Antiquorum Auctioneers in New York. Proceeds from the sale of the watch, which was designed with Bordeaux subdials and a slate-colored dial, will support the festival and TFI. [IWC]
Gwyneth Paltrow is appearing at Barnes & Noble at The Grove on Wednesday evening to sign copies of her second cookbook, It’s All Good . While in town, the Iron Man actress is also opening her blow-dry bar at trainer Tracy Anderson‘s new Brentwood studio. Fans can secure brief face-to-face time with the GOOPster by snagging the required wristband, available today. [Racked LA]
With Ireland Baldwin‘s good-looking genes from parents Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, it’s no wonder that the 17-year-old is now a fashion model. In March, the blonde beauty signed with IMG models, which also represents supermodels including Erin Wasson and Karlie Kloss. Ireland made her fashion show debut at the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 10th Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, sitting front row with Emmy Rossum and model Chrissy Teigen. [HuffPo]
