Cara Delevingne faced a rare bout of social media backlash after she announced that she would be selling sweatshirts reading “The Future Is Female,” modeled after a sweatshirt she wore in an Instagram post last month. The only problem? Otherwild, an independent L.A.-based retailer that originally sold the sweatshirt that Delevingne wore, called out the 23-year-old for copyright infringement. Many of the model-actress’ own fans sided with Otherwild, noting that stealing the design from a “queer, feminist-owned” shop was ironically anti-feminist. [Yahoo Style]
