Thirty-eight years after she was first featured on the cover of the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, 63-year-old Christie Brinkley is back — this time with daughters Alexa Ray Joel, 31, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 18, by her side. “Thank you Sports Illustrated for sending the powerful message that good things come in packages of every size and we do not come with an expiration date!” wrote Brinkley on Instagram. While Joel is following in the footsteps of her dad, Billy Joel, as a singer/songwriter, Cook is taking after her supermodel mom. The college student signed with IMG Models in 2013.
Macy’s Pressured to Drop Ivanka Trump Brand [Business Insider]
Last week, Nordstrom announced it would be dropping the Ivanka Trump brand from its stores starting in fall 2017, citing flagging sales. One day later, all traces of Ivanka Trump jewelry disappeared from the Neiman Marcus website, and the retailer said that it would be carrying the label only in a handful of stores based on consignment. Now, Macy’s is being pressured to follow suit. The department store’s social media feeds are flooded with comments from customers and #GrabYourWallet boycotters asking Macy’s to drop Ivanka Trump shoes and clothing. According to Business Insider‘s sources, pressure is coming from inside the company as well, with corporate employees reportedly feeling uneasy about marketing the Ivanka Trump brand following the election. Currently, almost all of the 74 products listed for sale are marked down.
Vetements Is Hosting a “Dry Cleaning” Event in L.A., Whatever That Means [Instagram]
On Thursday — the official first day of New York Fashion Week — Vetements is turning to the West Coast. On Instagram on Monday, the buzzy Parisian brand designed by Demna Gvasalia posted signage for a mysterious “Dry Cleaning” event that will take place at a “secret location” in L.A. Vetements, which just showed its fall 2017 collection in Paris in January, shared no other details, however we suspect a possible pop-up shop. Given the placement of the Melrose Avenue street sign as decorative artwork in the post, perhaps the shindig is going down at one of Maxfield’s spaces, the location where Off-White’s Virgil Abloh hosted a pop-up?

Online retailer TheOutnet.com has tapped Barely Famous‘ Erin and Sara Foster to star in a new video series titled #PrettyInfluential, which is set at New York Fashion Week. The comedic duo will be parodying the lives of “influencers” in six episodes, from demonstrating the struggle to capture the perfect “candid” street style shot, to how to get into exclusive VIP-only parties. The series debuts on TheOutnet.com on Friday, with new episodes being released throughout Fashion Week. We can’t wait.
