Empire Fragrances Coming Soon [Elle]
Just in time for the season 3 return of Empire in September, the fan-favorite TV drama is launching a collection of men’s and women’s fragrances so that you, too, can smell like Lucious and Cookie Lyon. The women’s fragrance, called Lyon’s Truth, is a rich floral and vanilla fragrance, while the men’s cologne, called Lyon’s Legacy, is an earthy bergamot and vanilla scent with a kick of citrus. The collection will be available online Sept. 15 and in Macy’s stores this holiday season.

Vogue Intern Pens Novel About Experience [Page Six]
Yet another Vogue alum has written a novel loosely based on experiences at the glossy. An Innocent Fashion is R. J. Hernandez’s debut novel about his time as an intern. However, rather than dish about editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, as her former assistant Lauren Weisberg did in The Devil Wears Prada, Hernandez’s work takes aim at Vogue’s former editor-at-large (and current contributing editor) Andre Leon Talley.

West Elm Collaborates with L.A.-Based Design Firm Commune [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
West Elm has collaborated with Commune, a Los Angeles design firm focused on interior and graphic design as well as architecture, on a collection of modern home decor, including furniture, wall art, textiles and accessories. The collection, priced between $39 for a wall accessory and $999 for an armless sofa, is now available online. Commune is known for their work with Los Angeles businesses, including the Ace Hotel in DTLA, Oliver Peoples’ Malibu store and Irene Neuwirth’s L.A. outpost. They also designed LACMA’s Reigning Men menswear exhibit.

Zara Employees Form Union in New York City [BuzzFeed]
More than 1,000 Zara employees in Manhattan voted to form a union this week. The retail workers will now be represented by the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, which also represents employees at Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s, as well as drug stores. Zara, owned by Inditex, recognized the union after a majority of its employees at its eight New York City locations signed cards saying they wished to be represented by the Local 1102 chapter of the RWDSU.
