Michelle Obama Covers Vogue [Vogue]
Michelle Obama is leaving the White House with a bang. The first lady landed the cover of Vogue‘s December issue, looking stunning in a white Carolina Herrera gown with a keyhole cutout. Obama was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the feature, which details her extensive work during the past eight years in the White House, from her Let Girls Learn initiative to her campaign to combat childhood obesity. As for ending her time at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., she noted, “The nature of living in the White House is isolating.” She continued, “I think our democracy has it exactly right: two terms, eight years … It’s enough. Because it’s important to have one foot in reality when you have access to this kind of power.” She’ll certainly be a tough act to follow.
