Prada’s fall/winter 2013 ad campaign is flooded with star power. Christoph Waltz, Ben Whishaw and Ezra Miller are the new faces of the fashion house, outfitted in jackets, sweaters and sports coats for photographs by David Sims. Beginning later this week, the new artistic director of Hugo Boss’ BOSS womenswear line will be none other than Jason Wu. The designer’s newly created position includes overseeing all women’s ready-to-wear and accessory efforts, and comes with a new Hugo Boss design studio in New York to complement the brand’s headquarters in Metzingen, Germany. Because a tell-all article in Vanity Fair just isn’t enough, John Galliano has confirmed that he will film an hourlong television interview with Charlie Rose this Wednesday. The designer’s publicist noted that the interview was made possible by industry ally Oscar de la Renta, who has previously interviewed with Rose, as well. it seems Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t ready to shed her Sex and the City alter ego just yet — the actress-turned-fashion icon has locked in plans for a line of shoes, bags and trenches. Channeling Carrie Bradshaw, she has called on Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus to assist with the footwear designs, which will draw inspiration from classic labels like Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon. The collection, simply entitled SJP, will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom early next year. “Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes, and by default I learned an enormous amount,” said Parker on the project. “It’s hard to — no pun intended — walk away from that.” [StyleList]
