Prince George is a hot commodity. In fact, photos of the world-famous tot are so desirable that paparazzi have gone to new extremes in order to capture those chubby cheeks on film — including using other adorable children as bait to lure little Georgie out onto the playground where he can be seen more easily. (No, that’s not the plot from a romantic comedy turned sour, but a real life thing that really happened.) In response to these devious tactics, Kensington Palace has issued a warning to the media about respecting the two-year-old’s privacy, and you know, acting like adults, citing the danger of the hazardous environment they are creating. In other words, mind your manners, people. [THR]
Madeline Stuart, an 18-year-old Australian teen with Down Syndrome, will make her runway debut this year at New York Fashion Week, walking for MODA in association with the Christopher Reeve foundation. After modeling photos of the teen went viral on Facebook earlier this year, Stuart and her mom have been bombarded with requests for international modeling gigs — a few of which she’s already accepted. Stuart will be the second model with Down Syndrome to have walked during New York’s most coveted fashion affair, following in the footsteps of American Horror Story actress Jamie Brewer. As far as retirees go, Michael Jordan is doing pretty well. The former NBA star/Space Jam alum has endorsement deals with Hanes, Gatorade and most notably, Nike, among others, and it turns out they shill out quite a pretty penny to associate with the 52-year-old. However, the exact number is under lock and key (literally). The subject came about because Jordan is currently in court with Safeway, who allegedly used his name without permission. In order to prove just how much his brand is worth (he’s asking for $10 million from the grocery chain), Jordan’s defense is presenting the comps of his other deals, which together were estimated at roughly $100 million just last year. But his 42-page contract with Nike, which only three employees in the entire company have access to, is tucked (and locked) away safely in its own room, away from all other legal documents, at Nike HQ in Beaverton, Oregon. Talk about protective. [Bloomberg]
