Priyanka Chopra, Christie Brinkley Star in Edward Enninful-Directed Gap Ad [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Priyanka Chopra, Christie Brinkley, Alek Wek, Wiz Khalifa and more A-listers star in Edward Enninful’s directorial debut for the new Gap campaign, “Bridging the Gap.” The ads are intended to show the British Vogue editor-in-chief’s “optimistic view of American style and culture.” Each of the campaign stars wear Gap’s logo tee, which serves “as a blank canvas to be their authentic selves.”
The RealReal Raised $50 Million in Funding [TechCrunch]
Luxury resale site The RealReal has raised $50 million in funding from private equity firm Great Hill Partners. The San Francisco-based company has raised a total of $173 million. The cash will be used to help the company open more valuation centers (there are currently six across the country), which allow consignors to speak directly with experts about the value of their used luxury goods and fine jewelry, as well as more retail concepts.

All of the company’s e-commerce platforms — Net-a-Porter, Mr. Porter, The Outnet and Yoox — are no longer selling fur products. “We remain more focused than ever on our commitment to create a sustainable future,” said James Moroni, the group’s head of sustainability. “We have a strong sense of responsibility and recognize the importance of making a positive contribution to society.”
Sears Customers Call for Boycott Over “Free Palestine” Tees [CBS]
Customers are calling for a Sears boycott after the retailer began selling more than a dozen tees reading “Free Palestine,” “End Israeli Occupation” and other similar phrases. The tees are from German brand Spread Shirt. A Jewish advocacy group called B’nai B’rith issued to a statement to CBS: “We are appalled at Sears jumping into a geo-political issue by selling glib t-shirts that proclaim ‘Free Palestine’ – seriously?”
