Zara is the latest retailer to introduce high-tech gadgets into its stores to make shopping a little easier. The retail giant currently is testing the use of iPads in its dressing rooms in its Spain locations so that customers will be able to scan the items and then easily order another size or color from a salesperson, all with the touch of a button. To celebrate this year’s Design Miami, J.Crew is partnering with famed French illustrator Pierre Le-Tan (father of designer Olympia Le-Tan) on a collection of notebooks, umbrellas, totes and other goodies covered in his quirky-cute vacation-inspired illustrations of palm trees, sunglasses and beaches. The collection, which retails for under $50, is now available for preorder on J.Crew’s website and also will be sold at Design Miami from Dec. 2 through Dec. 6. [Vogue]
