WishClouds makes its big Hollywood debut at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival as a sponsor of MorningStar Farms ChefDance, the sought-after, invite-only dinners that have drawn Indie and studio A-listers to Harry O’s (now Park City Live) since 2004.
This year, MorningStar Farms Chefdance will host premiere parties for Dave Grohl‘s Sound City, Jonathan Groff’s C.O.G., Blue Caprice starring Joey Lauren Adams and Tim Blake Nelson, Magic, Magic, staring Michael Cera, Juno Temple and Emily Browning, Breathe In, starring Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan, and Skin, starring Jordana Spiro.
WishClouds — an online shopping experience that lets consumers find star-endorsed products — allows celebrities to interact with their fans and raise money for their favorite charities. Celeb tastemakers so far include Natasha Hendstridge (Time Jumper), Nathan Fillion (Castle), Anne Heche (Hung), Mekhi Phifer (Torchwood), Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch), Michael Trucco (Revenge), Kelly Hu (Vampire Diaries), Trisha Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Vanessa Lengles (Glee). There are also some sports stars on board, such as John Salley (NBA Champion) and Bubby Brister, (two-time Superbowl winner with the Denver Broncos).
WishClouds has already aligned with a number of charities, including The Magic Johnson Foundation and Walking With Anthony, devoted to helping people with spinal-cord injuries, allowing nonprofits to set up their own branded product-pick pages.
This site is 100% curated by the celebs, not their publicists, and the 30 million products come from major retailers such as Target, Nordstrom, Best Buy, Williams Sonoma, Bloomingdale’s and Costco, among others.
The best part? You can pick your favorite products, archive them and the site will let you know when they go on sale.
