The Hollywood Reporter announced Thursday that it will host an exclusive photo and video studio at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, with top actors, directors and filmmakers stopping by for in-person video interviews and photo shoots.
The Studio, sponsored by American Airlines, will run Friday through Monday at Rock and Reilly’s on Main Street.
Hollywood A-listers set to attend include Lisa Kudrow, Taylor Schilling, Jason Schwartzman, Jason Segel, Jack Black, Ethan Hawke, Kristen Wiig, Lena Dunham, Toni Collette, Michael Fassbender, Keanu Reeves, James Franco, Spike Lee and Lily Tomlin. Exclusive interviews, video and photos of the talent will be available at THR.com/sundance. Readers can also follow along via social media using the hash tag #THRsundance.
“The lineup in our studio reveals a real who’s who at Sundance,” said Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, which owns THR. “We are thrilled to continue our tradition of providing behind-the-scenes access, in-depth interviews and breaking news from the festival to our audience.”
THR has been hosting The Studio at Sundance for the past four years, attracting top-tier talent and making industry headlines with interviews including Keira Knightley, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Ryan Reynolds, Christina Hendricks, Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana. Interviews at The Studio are by invitation and appointment only.
The news comes on the heels of THR becoming the official industry media publication of the fest through 2017, replacing Entertainment Weekly. The Hollywood Reporter also recently announced a partnership with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to host an exclusive, invite-only cocktail party celebrating the films, filmmakers and talent of the Sundance Film Festival, coinciding with the publication of the inaugural Next Gen Actors list, honoring a group of breakthrough talent age 35 and under.
THR also has partnered with YouTube to present two separate panel discussions — dubbed THR Talks — at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, focusing on connecting creators and audiences in a digital world.
