If you’ve been there, you know: house hunting can be the ultimate horror show.
Debuting Sunday as part of SXSW’s Midnighters program, Home pumps up the suspense as fat as the housing bubble circa 2006 as it weaves the tale of an ambitious young realtor tasked with selling a house with a horrible past.
In this exclusive scene, Ashley Rickards — star of MTV’s Awkward — plays a girl who pays a visit to a young couple. (Word of advice: when being shown a mother’s newborn, responding, “Sometimes it sleeps inside me,” will not endear you to her.)
Home also stars Glee‘s Naya Rivera and Catalina Sandino Moreno, best known for her Oscar-nominated work in Maria Full of Grace, as Leigh, the doomed real estate agent at the story’s center.
From writer-director Nicholas McCarthy — whose The Pact bowed at Sundance 2012 — Home opens its doors on March 9 at 11:59 p.m at the Stateside Theatre.
