Lady Gaga has been announced as a keynote speaker for the Music portion of South By Southwest.
The singer will be interviewed by Fuse’s John Norris at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14 in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Austin in Downtown Austin. She also performs on Thursday, March 13, at Stubb’s.

Gaga’s participation in the industry conference affirms the fest’s standing as a destination for major artists to include in their promotional cycle. Gaga is set to kick off her fourth world tour in May called artRave: The ARTPOP Ball.
Other South By Southwest 2014 keynote speakers include Lena Dunham, Neil Young and Julian Assange, who spoke via Skype from the Ecuadorian Embassy on Saturday, March 8 and warned those in attendance that, “The ability to surveil everyone on the planet is almost there and, arguably, will be there in the next couple of years.”
Some 2,200 bands will showcase over five days during SXSW Music, which officially kicks off on Tuesday, March 11.
