Empire‘s Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray joined forces onstage for a performance of their collab “You’re So Beautiful” at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.
Smollett kicked off the set as he sang the opening lines while female dancers circled around him center stage. Gray appeared mid-set, before co-star Gabourey Sidibe, dressed in a sequined turquoise dress, made a surprise entrance and performed a dance number toward the end.
The hit song is featured on the Empire soundtrack, which became the first TV soundtrack to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 back in March.
The Fox series and its lead cast were up for a total of 11 awards in nine categories, including choice TV show (drama) and breakout show. Smollett and Gray were both nominated for choice TV breakout star.
The Teen Choice Awards, hosted by Gina Rodriguez, Ludacris and Josh Peck, took place at the Galen Center in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
