Absurdism, or satire? Sometimes, it’s hard to tell.
In the thick of an escalating presidential campaign and daily political trickery, Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell are throwing their hats into the electoral ring. The pair star in the Jay Roach-directed comedy The Campaign, with Ferrell playing a sitting congressman who makes a costly public gaffe and Galifianakis as (this may be obvious), a dimwitted local who gets conned into running for office by a bevy of scheming corporate CEOs.

With a series of trailers and artwork already having been released — the film hits theaters on August 10th — the Warner Bros. production is ramping up its marketing campaign with two new posters, featuring the candidates working to connect with voters through the majesty of nature. Everyone loves puppies (especially on the internet), but will people be able to resist the pure patriotism of a bald eagle?
