Good Morning America featured The Hollywood Reporter’s second annual ranking of the top 25 most powerful stylists on Monday, March 19.
“The truth about Hollywood is that you can buy taste,” THR editorial director Janice Min told ABC’s Cecilia Vega.
Vega spent time getting some fashion tips from some of the top stylists listed on THR’s list.
Jeanne Yang (No. 11), who styles stars Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise and Andrew Garfield, said that capes will be a big trend. Christina Ehrlich (No. 10), whose clients include Penelope Cruz and Amy Adams, advised women to invest in a great new handbag and a lightweight trench.
Jen Rade (No. 6), who styles Angelina Jolie, took Vega to H&M for a shopping trip, where she picked out a stylish outfit for a date night. Her must-haves for spring include metallics and a tuxedo blazer in cream or black.
The Hollywood Reporter honored Hollywood style and the industry’s top tastemakers with a special four-cover Style Issue on March 14. The covers of the second annual Style Issue featured Charlize Theron and her stylist Leslie Fremar, who comes in at No. 2 on the list; Emma Stone with her stylist, Petra Flannery (No. 3); Holmes and stylist Yang (No. 11); and Jessica Chastain with stylist Elizabeth Stewart (No. 4).
Topping this year’s THR list was Kate Young, stylist to Michelle Williams, Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz.
