Tim Tebow has many titles: New York Jets Quarterback; “It” Athlete of the Moment; Spiritual Guru.
Now he can add Style Icon to that list: the NFL star set cameras flashing in overdrive when he arrived to the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Ball on Monday night.
The 24-year-old, sporting a Ralph Lauren Purple Label tux, gamely fielded a barrage of questions from reporters, like a media pro, at one of the most high-profile events in town. Tebow revealed that he spent about 12 minutes getting ready for the high-profile event, which is hosted every year by Vogue editor Anna Wintour with a different theme. This year’s dinner party celebrated a new exhibition called “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.” Wintour’s co-hosts: Miuccia Prada and actress Carey Mulligan.

Tebow said he was excited to meet Wintour, and planned to open with: “Nice to meet you?”
He went on to praise Wintour’s “effect on fashion and what she will continue to do. It’ll be exciting.” As for personal style sense, he’s not sure he has it.
“I don’t know. I consider myself to be blessed with good people around me that most of the time give me good advice,” said the unfailingly polite, wholesome heartthrob, flashing his pearly whites.
A little after Tebow arrived, Glee‘s Dianna Agron — decked out in a green gown with a long train — made her red-carpet appearance. Interestingly, the two were linked in the tabloids after having a 10-minute conversation at a party earlier this year. (He was also paired up with Taylor Swift.) In an April interview with ABC News, Tebow said: “Half the rumors, I’ve never even met the people, and I’m sure they would be lovely.”
“I’m excited to see who’s gonna be here and you never know! That’s what exciting about it,” he added of his first Met outing.
