LONDON – Bedlam Productions, one of the banners that mounted the multi-Oscar winning The King’s Speech, has produced a feature-length drama documentary entitled Titanic: Case Closed.
The doc is being docked by Smithsonian in the U.S. and National Geographic for international voyages.
The 90-minute feature is scheduled to air in April 2012, tying in with the centenary of the famous ship’s sinking.
The documentary looks at the reasons behind the sinking and lack of rescue of the RMS Titanic, and sees Tim Matlin, author of several books about the Titanic travel to locations across Europe, North American and the Atlantic Ocean to meet experts and perform experiments to test theories.
Written and directed by TV documentary regular Nigel Levy, Bedlam’s Simon Breen and Airborne TV and Film’s Stuart Burrage exec produce.
