Pret-a-Reporter: Where were you when you first learned about your Emmy nomination?
Tituss Burgess: I was at home in my living room.
What was your reaction?
I was in complete hysterics. Couldn’t breathe. Tears!
Are you superstitious?
I’m not at all.
How did you and Sam Spector land on your look for today?
We wanted to find something elegant and calm. That’s much closer to who I am versus the character I play.
In three words, how would you describe your sense of style?
Jeans and T-shirt.
Who are you most looking forward to meeting at the Emmys, and why?
There are so many people, but If I had to pick one I’d probably say Robin Wright. I think she is brilliant!
What’s the best piece of advice someone gave you on how to go into Sunday’s madness?
[Orange is the New Black‘s] Uzo [Aduba] and I had a discussion via text and both concluded it’s just a celebration of what we do no matter the outcome. That’s what I’m carrying with me.
Tituss Burgess wore a Bonobos tuxedo, Thomas Pink shirt, The Tie Bar bow tie and Tod’s shoes at the 67th annual Emmy Awards.
