Law & Order: Criminal Intent alum Jamey Sheridan has joined Warner Bros.’ star-studded Captain Sully movie opposite Tom Hanks.
Clint Eastwood is directing Sully, which stars Hanks as Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot who safely landed his plane full of 155 passengers in the Hudson River after both engines were knocked out by a flock of geese.
The “Miracle on the Hudson” made national headlines in January 2009. Aaron Eckhart will play Jeff Skiles, who was the first officer and co-pilot on the Airbus A320 and Laura Linney will play Sully’s wife.
Sheridan will play the senior air safety investigator who works tirelessly after the crash to investigate what caused it, and how to prevent it from happening in the future.
