Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Carole King, Aloe Blacc, Danny DeVito and Renee Fleming are among the stars set to make an appearance at SeriousFun Children Network’s New York gala.
SeriousFun, founded by the late Paul Newman in 1988, is a global community of 30 camps and other programs serving children living with serious illnesses. SeriousFun has served more than 518,000 children and families from more than 50 countries since its inception. Each member camp is an independent nonprofit organization dependent on private funding to serve kids at no cost to their families. Funds raised at the gala will go directly to benefiting the camps, the campers and their families.
The New York gala will take place at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall on March 2 and will honor Newman’s legacy. The event is part of a yearlong celebration of the Oscar award-winning actor, who would have been 90 this year. Galas will also take place in Los Angeles on May 14 and London on Nov. 3, also benefiting SeriousFun’s network of camps.
The galas will be produced by Lou Adler and Kevin Duncan.
Ticket prices range from $35 to $250 and can be purchased here. Exclusive benefit tickets, including an after-party, are available for $1,500.
