As if it wasn’t enough being at the top of Hollywood’s A-List, Tom Hanks is looking to make a name for himself on Broadway.
The actor and producer’s spokesperson confirmed to the The New York Times that he’s in negotiations to reunite with Sleepless in Seattle writer and director Nora Ephron on her biographical stage drama, Lucky Guy.

Hanks, 55, would play reporter Mike McAlary, who covered crime and the New York Police Department during some of its most major corruption scandals. He won a Pulitzer for commentary for his coverage of the controversial Abner Louima case. In 1998, he died from colon cancer at age 41.
Tony award-winning director George C. Wolfe (Angels in America) will helm the production, which will begin rehearsals in January with a winter or spring 2013 opening.
