Donald Trump’s famous hair had a big moment on Thursday night.
During a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Fallon concluded their chat by asking if he could do one silly thing “now that we’re both civilians” (since he could be president next time he appears on the show).
The host asked to mess up Trump’s hair — and, after pondering it for a moment, Trump agreed, so Fallon sent Trump’s locks flying out of control in every direction.

Fallon opened up the show joking about Trump releasing his health records, which were reviewed by Dr. Mehmet Oz, during Trump’s taped appearance Wednesday on The Dr. Oz Show. “It’s been a busy week for Trump. Earlier today, he appeared on Dr. Oz, and said that he wants to lose about 15 pounds. Then his barber said, ‘Hey, come by any time you like!'” joked Fallon.
During their interview, Fallon told Trump, “Donald, this is getting real. … You still have time, do you still want to do this?”
When Fallon asked if he always saw himself getting into politics, Trump said “I really never did. I probably wouldn’t have done many of the shows that I’ve done over the years if I had,” referencing his reality series The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice.
He said he “gave up a lot” by going into politics, and he initially waited to see how the country was going “and things were only getting worse,” so he left his NBC show for the election.
“I think the press has become more and more vicious,” Trump said, speaking on what has changed since he started his campaign.

Does he pay attention to the polls? “Oh, I love the polls,” but “not if I’m losing or lagging.”
Fallon has been imitating Trump in Tonight Show segments throughout the election, recently performing a duet with Barbra Streisand (in order to “make duets great again”). He told Trump about his work, “I hate to break it to you but I’ve done an impression of you once or twice,” even trying out the Trump voice for the candidate.
“You say some shocking things,” Fallon told him.
Trump retorted: “But I’m trying not to anymore.”
In a mock job interview, Trump told Fallon that he’s “looking to leave his current job” because he is “looking to make a lot less money.”
This marks Trump’s third time on Fallon’s show overall, and his first visit in more than year. His last visit was Sept. 11, 2015. He also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in May.
Hillary Clinton also has a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show, stopping by Monday. Both Trump and Clinton’s appearances come less than two weeks before the first presidential debate that will be moderated by NBC Nightly News‘ Lester Holt. Trump told Fallon he suggests the debate doesn’t have a moderator so that they can’t “game the system” against him. He also thought that Matt Lauer did “a fantastic job” at the Commander-in-Chief Forum.
