Nearly two weeks after a six-car vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike placed Tracy Morgan and several others in critical condition, the comedian is being transferred to a rehab center.
“Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks,” said publicist Lewis Kay in a statement. “While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go. He and [fiancee] Megan [Wollover] wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him.”

Others injured in the accident include Morgan’s assistant, Jeffrey Millea, and comedians Harris Stanton and Ardie Fuqua. There has been no update on the condition of Stanton and Fuqua, although publicist Kay said in a previous statement that Millea’s condition is improving.
Another comedian in Morgan’s chauffeured limousine at the time of the accident — which was initiated after a tractor trailer swerved into the limo — was 62-year-old James McNair, who died due to injuries sustained.
