Twitch will be partnering with Disney Digital Network to bring exclusive content from four Disney-managed digital content creators to the social video service. Jacksepticeye, LuzuGames, Markiplier and Strawburry17 will manage their own channels on Twitch as part of a multiyear partnership. The online personalities will broadcast live as well as develop exclusive video-on-demand content.
The four creators are most widely known for their Youtube accounts where they post video game-related content such as “let’s play” videos, which document the play through of a game, in addition to various skits and vlogs. Of the four, Markiplier (real name Mark Fischbach) has the largest subscriber count on Twitch, but his 631,000 followers on the platform pale in comparison to his more than 16 million followers on Youtube. Jacksepticeye (Sean McLoughlin), meanwhile, boasts just over 250,000 Twitch followers compared to his more than 17 million Youtube faithful.
For Strawburry17 (Meghan Camarena), the partnership is another opportunity to work with Disney, as she co-hosted Disney XD’s Polaris Primetime show in 2017.
LuzuGames (whose real name was not provided by Disney) originally began making videos in his native Spanish, and became one of the most popular Spanish-language channels on Youtube.
New content on Twitch from the four creators will debut Thursday.
