Michael Flynn’s resignation as President Donald Trump’s national security adviser sent shock waves from Washington to Hollywood, and CNN and MSNBC wasted no time in going wall-to-wall with coverage.
Fox News, on the other hand, was slammed by viewers online for seemingly giving only perfunctory attention to the seismic news coming out of the White House.

Flynn resigned Monday after a growing scandal related to his links with Russia, saying in his resignation letter that he held numerous calls with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. during the transition and gave “incomplete information” about those discussions to Vice President Mike Pence.
CNN and MSNBC seemed to go all in on their Flynn coverage when the news broke, with CNN’s Don Lemon leading a panel of analysts and contributors in a discussion about the resignation, then handing off coverage to Jim Acosta.
Fox News covered the news for a few brief moments before returning to the evening’s episode of The O’Reilly Factor. Later, at the top of the hour, the network recapped the news before airing Tucker Carlson Tonight, which featured interviews with Milo Yiannopoulos protesters as well as supporters of the controversial Breitbart editor. The network continued to cover the Flynn resignation through Twitter and its on-air news ticker.

If @FoxNews doesn’t report Flynn there’s gonna be millions of Red Hats who wake up tomorrow believing he’s still NatSec Adviser.
