Two people were stabbed in separate incidents, minutes apart on Thursday night in Anaheim, Calif. near Disneyland. Both people were left in critical condition.
The first stabbing, which involved a 32-year-old male victim, happened around 8 p.m. in the 1100 block of W. Ball Road. Initially, police believed the man had been shot. A few minutes later, another stabbing, involving a 30-year-old female victim, was reported close by, in front of the Holiday Inn located in the 1200 block of S. Walnut Street, according to Anaheim police.
The victims’ current conditions are not known.
The man and woman were stabbed by the same suspect, but it is unclear if the attacks were related or both random, police said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between the ages of 20 – 30 years old, 220 to 240 pounds, wearing jeans and a hoodie, police said.
Although the attacks happened near Disneyland, there is no link to the resort and the park was not impacted, police said.
