Tyga, Desiigner and Pusha T have signed with UTA in North America and select global territories and will be represented by a team of agents in all areas, Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter have exclusively learned.
The three rappers are all signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, where Pusha T is president.
Tyga has had 31 hits on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including the No. 1 song “Deuces” (Chris Brown featuring Tyga and Kevin McCall) and sold 638,000 albums, 12.2 million digital songs and 1.4 billion on-demand streams, according to Nielsen Music. In 2011, he signed to Young Money and released his major-label debut Careless World: Rise of the Last King. Hotel California and The Gold Album followed in 2013 and 2015, respectively. More recently, the 27-year-old rapper collaborated with Desiigner on his new single “Gucci Snakes” and announced a European tour that is set to kick off Feb. 23.
Desiigner’s “Panda” was the most streamed song of 2016, which Nielsen placed at a whopping 1.1 billion on-demand streams across all platforms. He also sold 1.8 million digital songs and had three Top 40 songs on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including “Panda,” which also spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Last month, “Timmy Turner” was certified platinum by the RIAA.
Desiigner and Tyga both make cameos in the upcoming Jamie Foxx film All-Star Weekend.
Virginia rapper and entrepreneur Pusha T has had 19 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including one No. 1: “Mercy” (Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, 2 Chainz), according to Nielsen Music. He first gained recognition as half of the hip-hop duo Clipse. Pusha T signed to G.O.O.D. Music in 2010 and released his first solo mixtape, Fear of God, in March 2011. In 2013, his debut album, My Name Is My Name, bowed at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. In November 2015, West appointed Pusha T to take over his role as president of G.O.O.D. Music. He has sold 326,000 albums and 887,000 digital songs, and had 254.7 million on-demand streams.
Since acquiring The Agency Group in August 2015, UTA has significantly expanded its music roster, signing DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey and Toby Keith, among others. Its music clients now include Guns N’ Roses, who mounted one of the largest tours of 2016, along with Muse, G-Eazy, Rachel Platten, Paramore and X Ambassadors. UTA has offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Nashville, Toronto, Miami and Malmo, Sweden.
