Banks participation was announced this past May but now the other hosts and details of the lifestyle-oriented show have been revealed.
“From fashion and beauty to food and design to doing it yourself and even starting a business,” said the announcement, “the show will not only entertain, but also motivate the audience to make their lives more fun and beautiful.”
The program will premiere in September 2015 anchored on the ABC stations in major cities reaching about 23 percent of U.S. television homes.
“They are strong stations with outstanding leadership and are the ideal fit for our fresh lifestyle show with Tyra and her engaging panel of co-hosts,” said Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic Television, in a statement.
“Tyra and her panel of lifestyle experts share a chemistry that is energetic and extremely entertaining,” said Rebecca Campbell, president, ABC Owned Station Group, in a statement.
“At 40, Tyra has never been more relevant than she is today,” said Lisa Hackner, executive vp, daytime & syndicated programming, ABC Entertainment Group in a statement, “and her massive and growing digital footprint exemplifies her connection with women of all ages.”
Banks, who started her career as a fashion model, has become an entrepreneur and producer. She hosted her first talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, from 2005 until 2010.
On the new show she is once again executive producer as well as star. The show is being produced by Disney-ABC’s Summerdale Productions and will be distributed nationwide by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
