We want Uma Thurman’s beauty secrets. When the star showed up at the Ralph & Russo show Monday night she sent the crowd into an iPhone frenzy. “It’s Jennifer Lawrence!” fans gasped as they quickly snapped shots of the actress in a voluminous black jacket.
The action star hinted that Kill Bill 3 is still stirring in Quentin Tarantino’s head. “It’s looking promising,” she said.
In the meantime, she’ll likely be spending some time in Paris shooting Cannes’ winner Marjane Satrapi’s The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir. “One is always waiting for all these ingredients. The miracle it takes to make a film. It takes more than a village, it takes a hemisphere,” she told Pret-a-Reporter.
And while she said she’s “always” on the lookout for the perfect red-carpet dress, she’s not planning to attend any of the big awards shows this season.
While Aussie designers Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo stayed true to their classic 1950s shapes, with peplums and voluminous skirts decorated with petals in delicate pinks, peach and creams, the few more modern loose shapes and capes would make great-red carpet looks for Angleina Jolie or Gwyneth Paltrow — both fans of the brand.
It remains to be seen if The Bride will wear the stunning Ralph & Russo wedding gown that closed the show — with six attendants just to turn the train — to rounds of applause.
