Universal Pictures announced Thursday it will release Alejandro Amenabar‘s much-anticipated English-language thriller Regression, starring Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson, in Spain.
The film, a Spanish-Canadian production from the Oscar-winning director of The Sea Inside and The Others, centers around a young woman who accuses her father of a crime he doesn’t remember. But when the father suddenly admits to the crime, a renowned psychologist is brought in to help relive the horrifying mystery.
The thriller, shot in Toronto and scheduled for release in the fall of this year, is a Telecinco Cinema film, produced by MOD Entertainment, MOD Producciones, Himenoptero, First Generation Films and Telefonica Studios in association with FilmNation Entertainment, with the participation of Telefilm Canada, in collaboration with Mediaset Espana and with the participation of Canal + Espana.
