Universal is shifting the release date of upcoming vampire film Dracula by two months, to Oct. 3, 2014.
The film, directed by Gary Shore and starring Luke Evans, was originally slated for Aug. 8, 2014.
Produced by Michael De Luca, the film tells the origin story of the man who became the most famous vampire in the world.
The Book of Life, an animated comedy, is the only other film currently slated for release on Oct. 3, 2014.

Dracula has been rumored to be one of the Universal titles that Legendary Entertainment could agree to co-finance under its new deal with the studio.
In July, Universal Pictures and Legendary officially agreed to enter into a five-year production and co-financing partnership, starting in 2014, in which Universal will market and distribute Legendary’s movies worldwide. Legendary, which produced Pacific Rim and Man of Steel, will end its current financing, production and distribution pact with Warner Bros. at the end of 2013.
Universal also set a Sept. 12, 2014, release date for comedy Search Party. The film stars Thomas Middleditch as a man who, 24 hours after he was set to get married, is stranded in the desert, and only his best friends (T.J. Miller, Adam Pally) can save him. The pic is the directorial debut of Old School and Hangover: Part II writer Scot Armstrong.
The comedy currently has that date to itself.
