Insidious: Chapter 2 Child With Ghosts - H 2013
FilmDistrictThe hit horror movie Insidious and its upcoming sequel have inspired a new attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights.
The theme park’s Halloween event will feature a maze based on the FilmDistrict thrillers starring Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne.
Insidious: Into The Further focuses on the evil spirit that has haunted Wilson and Byrne’s Lambert family. Guest will travel into the world of the dead to confront malicious souls and demons intent on bringing suffering to the living.

Halloween Horror Nights is collaborating with the film’s director, James Wan, as well as writer/co-star Leigh Whannell and producer Jason Blum on the attraction.
“It’s an incredible opportunity to partner with filmmakers who share our passion for bringing nightmares of the silver screen to life and who are committed to making every scene and every nuance of the maze as authentic and unsettling as their film,” Halloween Horror Nights creative director John Murdy said in a statement.
The maze will bring frightening scenes from the film to life, Universal said in an announcement.

“This attraction takes guests through the utter horror of both Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2,” Wan said in a statement. “The Lipstick Demon, The Long Haired Fiend and the victims he murdered — they all come together in a perfect storm within the maze. In fact, I think this maze is the closest you can come to experiencing the kind of fear portrayed in our films, without actually living through it yourself.”
Insidious made more than $97 million worldwide from a $1.5 million budget in 2011. Insidious: Chapter 2 will be released on Sept. 13. Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights start on Sept. 20.
The Halloween exhibit will also include attractions based on The Walking Dead, Evil Dead and Black Sabbath.
