Right on the heels of LVMH’s announcement of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, industry juggernaut Estée Lauder has made their own star-studded reveal. The brand has partnered with fashion designer Victoria Beckham on a limited-edition makeup collection. Titled Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder (because perhaps the X for collaborations is now passe?), it will drop in stores a full year before the “Anti” singer’s line.
The former Spice Girl previously dipped a toenail in the beauty biz when she collaborated with Brit brand Nails Inc. on a pair of polishes, but this is her first time designing makeup. True to form, the style icon didn’t simply lend her name to the effort, she was very hands-on. “The whole process has been both inspiring and eye-opening — from going back and revisiting the Estée Lauder archives through to working on the product with the Estée team, this feels like the perfect makeup partnership for me and my brand,” said Beckham in a release.
For its part, the team at the iconic brand sees her as an entrepreneur whose spirit matches that of their founder, Estée Lauder, and who has a true understanding of what women want. The collaborative range will be sold in select retailers, Victoria Beckham stores and on both brands’ websites, but there’s no word yet on what it will actually entail. With Beckham on board, however, we expect it will be nothing short of fabulous.
