Murray plays the eponymous Vincent, a cantankerous war veteran who bonds with his neighbor Maggie’s (McCarthy) young son, Oliver (newcomer Jaeden Lieberher). Needless to say, Maggie isn’t thrilled when Vincent introduces her son to his Russian-prostitute companion.

Naomi Watts, Chris O’Dowd and Terrence Howard co-star. Theodore Melfi directed the film from his own script, which previously landed on the Black List under the slightly wordier moniker St. Vincent de Van Nuys.
