If I Stay puts Chloe Grace Moretz between a rock and a hard place — specifically, between life and death.
The actress plays Mia, a 17-year-old girl who has an out-of-body experience after falling into a coma. The film’s latest trailer shows Mia weighing the pros and cons of returning to life with her beloved boyfriend, yet without her parents, who died in a catastrophic car crash.

Mireille Enos and Jamie Blackley also star in the thriller, with R.J. Cutler directing. The film, produced by DiNovi Pictures, is based on Gayle Forman‘s popular 2009 novel.
If I Stay hits theaters on Aug. 22.
